She was inspired to dance by several hip-hop movies, about which she later wrote an essay for a custom article critique writing service at https://best-writing-service.com/article-critique-writing/
Christina Lee knows hip-hop and she especially knows hip-hop in the south. It informs a lot of the freelance journalism she is currently engaged in. A graduate of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, she has been published by RollingStone.com, Billboard, MTV Networks and SPIN. She also authored four entries in the ambitious Creative Loafing story that became one of the Atlanta Press Club’s “Favorite Stories Over the Last 50 Years”: “Straight Outta Stankonia.”
Bryce McNeil & Christina Lee at Stone Soup Kitchen
Fittingly, Christina covered an event featuring Big Boi’s new project Big Grams the night before she was interviewed for our inaugural episode on a very rainy Sunday. She chose Stone Soup Kitchen as the location– listen close to hear the pitter-patter of rain on the patio roof!
Aside from naming some of her favorite spots and activities in the ATL, Christina talked about the inspiration behind the “Stankonia” story, the challenges of freelancing, her assignment process and what she took from her college journalism experience. In this episode, you’ll learn why you shouldn’t ignore those CDs at the front of the counter at a gas station.
